Terms of Service
These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern all purchases of BakeJoy bread makers (compact, family-size, gourmet series), accessories (non-stick bread pans, dough hooks, cleaning brushes), and related services (virtual baking tutorials, extended warranty plans) (collectively “Products/Services”) from BakeJoy Inc. (“Company,” “we,” “us”). By placing an order via our website, authorized retailers, or customer support channels, you (“Customer,” “you”) agree to these Terms, our Privacy Policy, and any product-specific guidelines (e.g., safety manuals, warranty documents) provided at the time of purchase.
1. Order Acceptance & Modifications
Your order constitutes a request to purchase Products/Services, not a binding contract. We reserve the right to accept, reject, or adjust orders if: (a) Products are out of stock (due to high demand for limited-edition gourmet models or supply chain delays for key components like heating elements); (b) Product details contain errors (e.g., misstated loaf capacity, incorrect program lists for compact models); or (c) your shipping address is in a region we cannot service (e.g., remote areas without reliable courier access). A binding contract is formed only when we issue a written order confirmation (email or physical document) that includes item specs, total cost (taxes, shipping, and service fees), delivery timelines, and any required deposits.
Post-confirmation modifications (e.g., upgrading from a compact 1lb model to a family-size 3lb machine, adding an extended 5-year warranty) must be submitted in writing within 24 hours. We will confirm feasibility and any cost/timeline adjustments (e.g.,
150 for model upgrades, 3–5 business days for accessory additions). For bulk orders (5+ units for commercial use, e.g., cafes, bed-and-breakfasts), modifications are prohibited once production or shipment begins (typically 2 business days post-confirmation); cancellations will result in forfeiture of the 20% non-refundable deposit.
2. Product Specifications & Safety Compliance
All BakeJoy bread makers meet global safety standards: UL 60335-1 for electrical safety (U.S.), CE EN 60335-1 (EU), and AS/NZS 60335.1 (Australia). Product pages and included manuals clearly list key specs: loaf capacity (1lb/1.5lb/2lb/3lb), power output (700W–1000W, varying by model), program options (white, whole wheat, gluten-free, jam, dough-only), and dimensions (for countertop compatibility). Minor cosmetic variations (e.g., subtle color differences in stainless steel finishes, slight texturing on control panels) are normal and do not qualify as defects.
You are responsible for using Products in compliance with safety guidelines: (a) Only use BakeJoy-approved accessories (non-approved pans may cause overheating or damage); (b) Do not modify the machine’s electrical components (e.g., rewiring the power cord); (c) Follow voltage requirements (110V–120V for U.S. models, 220V–240V for EU models—using a mismatched voltage source voids warranties). We provide safety tutorials but are not liable for injuries, property damage, or product failure caused by improper use.
3. Payment Terms
- Methods: We accept major credit cards (Visa, Mastercard, American Express), debit cards, PayPal, and Apple Pay. Commercial customers (e.g., restaurants, culinary schools) may qualify for net-45 payment terms (subject to credit approval via a completed application and business license verification).
- Deposits: A 20% non-refundable deposit is required for bulk/commercial orders; standard in-stock Products require full payment at checkout (no deposit needed).
- Pricing: All prices are listed in U.S. dollars (USD) for U.S. orders and local currency for international orders (e.g., EUR for EU, GBP for UK). Prices include applicable sales tax (except for international orders, where customs duties, import taxes, and brokerage fees are the customer’s responsibility). Quotes are valid for 7 days; prices may adjust due to material cost increases (e.g., stainless steel, heating coils) or currency fluctuations.
- Late Payments: For commercial orders with payment plans, unpaid balances incur a 2% monthly late fee. We may delay delivery or cancel orders (forfeiting deposits) if payment is 10+ days overdue.
4. Shipping & Delivery
-
Domestic Shipping (U.S.): Free standard shipping (3–5 business days) for orders over
-
International Shipping: Available to select countries (EU, Canada, Australia, Japan) with fees ranging from
- Inspection: Inspect Products immediately upon delivery. Note damage (e.g., cracked control panels, dented exteriors, non-functional buttons) on the courier’s delivery receipt, take photos of the packaging and Product, and notify us within 48 hours. We will replace damaged items free of charge or issue a full refund; failure to report damage within 48 hours voids coverage.
5. Warranties & Returns
- Warranties: All BakeJoy bread makers include a 2-year limited warranty (covers defects in materials/workmanship, e.g., faulty heating elements, unresponsive control panels). Accessories (pans, hooks) have a 6-month warranty. Extended warranties (3-year or 5-year) are available for purchase at checkout (covering parts, labor, and accidental damage like minor dents). The warranty does not cover: (a) Wear from normal use (e.g., scratched non-stick pans); (b) Damage from improper cleaning (e.g., using abrasive sponges on control panels); (c) Repairs by non-BakeJoy authorized technicians.
- Returns: Standard in-stock Products (unused, in original packaging, with all parts/manuals) may be returned within 30 days for a full refund (minus shipping fees). Bulk/commercial orders are non-returnable unless defective (verified by our technical team), in which case we replace the unit or issue a pro-rated refund. Return shipping costs are the customer’s responsibility (except for defective items, where we provide a prepaid shipping label).
